Ingredients

  • 500 g Onion
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 200 g Table Salt
  • 50 g Cumin Powder
  • 55 g Paprika Powder
  • - Good Life Corn Flour / Maize Starch 500 G
  • 500 Ml Champion Oil

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse 1 cup of maize meal (pap) under cold water and drain.
  2. 2. In a medium pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
  3. 3. Gradually add the maize meal to the boiling water while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. 4. Reduce the heat to low and let the pap simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens.
  5. 5. In a separate pan, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil over medium heat.
  6. 6. Add 1 finely chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
  7. 7. Add 2 minced garlic cloves and cook for another minute.
  8. 8. Stir in 2 chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften and release their juices.
  9. 9. Add 1 teaspoon of tomato paste, 1/2 teaspoon of paprika, 1/2 teaspoon of cumin powder, and salt to taste. Mix well.
