Ingredients

  • 100 g Pasteurised Butter
  • 200 g Table Salt
  • 500 g Maize Flour
  • 250 G Carom Seeds / Ajwain 250 G

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup Weikfield cornflour with a pinch of Keya Table Salt.
  2. 2. Gradually add warm water to the cornflour, kneading it into a soft dough.
  3. 3. Divide the dough into small balls, about the size of a lime.
  4. 4. Flatten each ball between your palms, then use your fingers to press and shape it into a round, flat disc.
  5. 5. Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat.
  6. 6. Place one of the flat discs on the tawa, cooking each side for about 1-2 minutes or until golden spots appear.
  7. 7. Spread a generous layer of Amul Pasteurized Butter on the roti while it's hot.
