Ingredients
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 500 g Onion
- 500 g Chicken Whole
- 1 piece Coconut
- 200 g Table Salt
- 25 g Ginger Garlic Paste
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli Powder
Instructions
- 1. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in a pan. Add 1 tsp mustard seeds and let them splutter.
- 2. Add 1 finely chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
- 3. Add 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- 4. Add 500g of chicken pieces and cook on medium heat until they turn white.
- 5. Add 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp red chilli powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder, and salt to taste. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
- 6. Add 1 cup of grated coconut and 1/2 cup of chopped coriander. Stir well and cook for another 5 minutes.
- 7. Add 1/2 cup of water, cover the pan, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked and the gravy thickens.
- 8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or roti.
