Instructions
- 1. In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour, whole wheat flour, a pinch of salt, and 2 tbsp oil. Gradually add water and knead into a soft, pliable dough. Cover and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- 2. Marinate the chicken with 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp cornflour, 1 egg, and a pinch of salt. Set aside for 15 minutes.
- 3. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan. Fry the marinated chicken until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- 4. In the same pan, sauté ginger-garlic paste until aromatic. Add diced onions, green chilies, and bell pepper, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
- 5. Mix 2 tbsp soy sauce, tomato ketchup, red chili sauce, vinegar, black pepper, and a little water. Add this sauce mixture to the pan and cook for 2 minutes.
- 6. Dissolve 1 tbsp cornflour in a few tablespoons of water and add it to the pan to thicken the sauce. Stir well and add the cooked chicken. Mix and cook for another 2 minutes. Garnish with coriander.
- 7. Divide the dough into equal portions. Roll out each portion into a thin circle, brush with oil, fold into a fan-like shape, and roll into a swirl. Roll out gently to make a paratha.
- 8. Heat a tawa (griddle) and cook the parathas on medium heat, brushing with oil, until golden and flaky on both sides.
- 9. Serve the hot lachha parathas with the chilli chicken and enjoy a hearty meal.
