Ingredients

  • 20G Curry Leaves
  • 400 G Natco Natural Sesame Seeds
  • 200 ml Ghee
  • - Milky Mist Skyr Plain Yogurt
  • 50G Green Chilies
  • loose Ginger
  • - Ktc Gram Flour 2kg
  • - Rajah Jeera Whole Cumin Seeds
  • 100 G Saras Turmeric Haldi Powder
  • - Asafoetida Bwfo Free Uk Mainland P&P
  • - Natco Black Mustard Seeds
  • 400 G Trs Coriander Powder
  • 10G Salt

Instructions

  1. 1. In a bowl, mix Milky Mist Greek Yogurt with 2 tablespoons of gram flour. Add water to thin the mixture, making sure it is smooth and lump-free.
  2. 2. Heat 2 tablespoons of Dabur Organic Ghee in a saucepan over medium heat. Add 1/2 teaspoon of mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  3. 3. Add 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds, a pinch of asafoetida (hing), and a few curry leaves to the pan. Stir until the spices release their aroma.
  4. 4. Grate 250g of ginger and add it to the pan along with 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder and 1 teaspoon of TRS coriander (dhania) powder. Stir for a minute.
  5. 5. Pour the yogurt mixture into the pan, stirring continuously. Add salt to taste and a small piece of jaggery slab for sweetness.
  6. 6. Let the kadhi simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens slightly and the flavors meld together.
  7. 7. In a separate small pan, heat 1 teaspoon of Dabur Organic Ghee and toast 1 teaspoon of Natco Natural Sesame Seeds until golden brown. Add this to the kadhi.
  8. 8. Serve the Gujarati Kadhi hot, garnished with a pinch of black salt, alongside rice or any flatbread.
