Ingredients

  • 500 g Onion
  • 500 g Tomato - Hybrid
  • 100 g Ajwain
  • - Chaat Masala
  • 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
  • 250 ml Olive Oil
  • - Besan
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 100 g Red Chili Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin seeds, carom seeds, and salt. Gradually add water while whisking to create a smooth, lump-free batter with a flowing consistency.
  2. 2. Add the chopped onions, tomatoes, green chili, coriander leaves, and lemon juice to the batter. Mix well to evenly distribute the ingredients.
  3. 3. Heat a tawa (flat griddle) over medium heat and lightly grease it with oil. Pour a ladleful of the batter onto the tawa and spread it gently into a thin circle.
  4. 4. Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until the edges start lifting and the bottom turns golden brown. Drizzle a few drops of oil around the edges, then flip the puda and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  5. 5. Remove the cooked puda from the tawa and repeat the process with the remaining batter to make additional pudas.
  6. 6. Serve the Tangy Tawa Masala Besan Puda hot with mint chutney or plain yogurt for an enjoyable breakfast.
