- - Dabur Organic Ghee
- 250 Ml Trs Lemon Juice 250Ml
- 450G Rose Rice Flour, 450G
- - Whole Foods Market Organic Cardamom Powder
- 1 Kg White Granulated Sugar
Instructions
- 1. Grease a tray or plate with ghee and keep it ready for setting the halwa.
- 2. In a bowl, mix 250g of rose rice flour with 500ml of water until smooth, ensuring no lumps remain.
- 3. In a large pan, add 1kg of sugar and 1L of water, and stir over low heat until the sugar dissolves completely to form a syrup.
- 4. Slowly pour the rose rice flour mixture into the sugar syrup, stirring continuously on medium heat to avoid lumps.
- 5. Once the mixture begins to thicken, add 470g of ghee gradually, stirring it evenly into the mixture.
- 6. Add a few drops of red food color and 1 teaspoon of cardamom powder, mixing thoroughly until combined.
- 7. Squeeze in the juice of one lemon and stir well. The lemon helps prevent crystallization.
- 8. Continue cooking, stirring continuously, until the mixture becomes glossy and starts leaving the sides of the pan.
- 9. Fold in 500g of mixed chopped nuts, ensuring even distribution throughout the halwa mixture.
- 10. Pour the mixture into the greased tray and spread it evenly. Allow it to cool completely.
- 11. Once set, cut the halwa into desired shapes and serve as a delightful treat.
