Add 1 ½ cups of Gram flour in a bowl. Add two tablespoons of milk and two tablespoons of clarified butter.

Mix it and create a crumble by rubbing it with your hands nicely. Pass the Gram flour through a sieve to get a lump less mixture. Grind what remains in the sieve to a fine powder and add it to the previously sieved gram flour.

In a pan, heat 150 gms of clarified butter and melt it, add the gram flour to the melted clarified butter and cook it.

Keep the mixture on low flame and let the mixture cook, till you get a nice aroma from the gram flour mixture. Add half a cup of milk at this stage and keep stirring and cooking.

Again, add some milk and cook it further.

In another pan, heat 180 gms of sugar. Add 1 cup of water and cook the sugar syrup.

Add two tablespoons of saffron milk to the sugar syrup.

Pour the prepared sugar syrup in it while stirring continuously and cook for 2-3 mins and switch off the flame.

Pour the mixture into a greased tray and allow the mixture to cool.

Garnish with chopped nuts, and cut them into cubes of equal size.

Once the mixture completely cools, remove the cubed Mohantal from the tray. Mohanthal is ready to eat.
