Take the soaked white peas and parboil them by adding water and cooking either in a pressure cooker or a vessel. It should not be mushy.

Add 2 tablespoons of oil to a cooking pan. Add a bay leaf to it. Add 1 thinly sliced onion and 1 large tablespoon of chives. Sauté them for a few minutes.

Add 2-3 green chilies split lengthwise. Sauté well and add 1 tablespoon of crushed coriander seeds and cumin seeds. Also add ½ teaspoon chili flakes. Give them a nice mix.

Add 1 teaspoon of crushed ginger garlic paste. Sauté well.

Add the parboiled peas, ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder, and salt to taste. Combine well

For seasoning, you can also add Meat masala or Manipuri all-spice masala. combine all ingredients and cook till all the water evaporates. Garnish by adding coriander leaves.

For Serving, take a portion on a plate, top it with perilla powder, coriander leaves and shredded cabbage, sliced onions, and sliced red chilies. Also, chameleon leaves or fish mint can be added for garnishing.
