Ingredients

  • - Jalpur Carom Seeds Ajwain
  • 1 Unit Organic Cabbage White 1 Unit
  • 1 Piece Fresh Thai Green Unripe Papaya
  • 500 G Fine Beans 500g
  • Single Capsicum/Green Pepper (Single)
  • - Doves Farm Organic Chickpea Flour
  • 750 G Top-Op Table Salt Drums
  • 100 G Saras Turmeric Haldi Powder
  • 1 L Crisp N Dry Oil

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash and prepare all vegetables: peel and julienne the green unripe papaya, finely shred the cabbage, slice the fine beans into small pieces, and dice the green pepper into bite-sized chunks.
  2. 2. In a large mixing bowl, combine 200g of chickpea flour with 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon of carom seeds, 1 teaspoon of light brown sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Gradually add water to create a smooth batter with a pancake-like consistency.
  3. 3. Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
  4. 4. Add the prepared vegetables (julienned papaya, shredded cabbage, sliced fine beans, and diced green pepper) to the batter and mix well to ensure all vegetables are evenly coated.
  5. 5. Using a ladle, pour a portion of the vegetable-batter mixture into the hot pan, spreading it out slightly to form a small pancake. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side. Repeat with the remaining mixture, adding more oil as needed.
  6. 6. Once all the vegetable pancakes are cooked, serve them hot with a side of carrot pickle for a tangy and flavorful accompaniment.
