- 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
- 1 kg Bell Peppers
- 1 bunch Spring Onion
- - Edamame
- 300 g Shiro Miso Paste
- 500Ml Habit Toasted Sesame Oil Cold Presses
- - Rice Vinegar
- 100 g Til
- 100 g Cornflour
Instructions
- 1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes. Toss the tofu cubes with cornstarch until evenly coated.
- 2. Heat 1/2 tbsp sesame oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Add the tofu cubes and pan-fry until golden and crispy on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- 3. In the same pan, heat the remaining 1/2 tbsp sesame oil. Add asafoetida, shredded cabbage, and sliced bell peppers. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are slightly tender but still crisp.
- 4. In a small bowl, whisk together white miso paste, tamari, rice vinegar, and coconut until smooth. Pour this mixture into the pan with the vegetables and stir well to coat.
- 5. Add the cooked tofu and shelled edamame to the pan. Gently toss everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- 6. To assemble, divide the cooked rice into serving bowls. Top with the tofu and vegetable mixture, ensuring an even distribution of sauce.
- 7. Garnish with chopped spring onions and toasted sesame seeds. Serve warm and enjoy your wholesome Tofu Miso Donburi.
