Heat ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat.
Add the besan to the pan and roast it, stirring continuously, until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma. This may take 15-20 minutes.
Remove the pan from the heat and let the roasted besan cool slightly.
Once the besan is warm (not hot), add powdered sugar and cardamom powder. Mix well until the sugar is fully incorporated.
Add the chopped nuts and mix again.
While the mixture is still warm, take small portions and shape them into round laddus using your hands.
