- 300G Fresh Ice Berg Lettuce - Approx 300G - 500G
- - Fresh Asian Coriander Bunch
- 500 G Fresh Vine Tomato 500g
- - Longley Farm Freshly Soured Cream
- 250 Ml Trs Lemon Juice 250Ml
- 750 G Top-Op Table Salt Drums
- - Schwartz Paprika
Instructions
- 1. Prepare the arepa dough by mixing maize flour, 1 cup of water, and 1 tsp salt in a bowl until a smooth dough forms. Divide into equal portions and shape into flat discs about 1cm thick.
- 2. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat and lightly brush with olive oil. Cook the arepas for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden and crispy. Set aside.
- 3. Season the beef steak with salt, black pepper, and paprika. Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the beef for 2-3 minutes per side until cooked to your desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes, then thinly slice.
- 4. Assemble the arepas by slicing them halfway open to create a pocket. Stuff each arepa with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sliced beef, and grated cheese.
- 5. Top with a dollop of sour cream, chopped coriander, and a squeeze of lime juice for extra freshness. Serve immediately while warm.
