Ingredients
- - Cofresh Whole Green Chilli 350g
- 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
- - Fresh Asian Coriander Bunch
- 100 G Saras Turmeric Haldi Powder
- 1 Garlic Bulb - 1 Each
- 100G Ginger 100G
- 2 Kg Ktc Superfine Gram Flour 2kg
- - Rajah Jeera Whole Cumin Seeds
- - Chilli Powder Rajah
- 750 G Top-Op Table Salt Drums
Instructions
- 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of gram flour with 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds, 1/2 teaspoon of chilli powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder. Mix well to evenly distribute the spices.
- 2. Finely chop 1 medium-sized onion and 2-3 pieces of green chilli. Add them to the mixing bowl.
- 3. Wash and finely chop a handful of fresh coriander. Add it to the bowl for freshness and flavor.
- 4. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the mixture. Gradually add water, a little at a time, and knead the mixture into a soft, pliable dough. The dough should not be too sticky or too dry.
- 5. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each portion into a ball. Flatten each ball slightly to form a thick disc (about 1/4 inch thick).
- 6. Heat a non-stick pan or tawa over medium heat. Add a small amount of cooking oil to grease the surface.
- 7. Place one flattened dough disc onto the hot pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side, or until both sides are golden brown and cooked through. Repeat for the remaining dough discs.
- 8. Serve the Thalipeeth hot with a side of pickle for added flavor.
