Ingredients

  • 1 Kg Golden Raisins, 1Kg
  • 1kg 1kg Green Pepper
  • - Sunita Lemon Juice Organic
  • - Billington'S Light Brown Soft Sugar
  • 50G Niharti Cinnamon Taj-Dalchini Powder 50g
  • - Mace Powder Organic 25g
  • 100G Halen Mon Umami Sea Salt, 100G

Instructions

  1. 1. Slice 2 cups of green tomatoes and place them in a pot. Cover with water and bring to a quick boil for 2-3 minutes.
  2. 2. Drain the tomatoes thoroughly and transfer them to a mixing bowl.
  3. 3. Add 1/2 cup of brown sugar, 2 tablespoons of cider vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon of mace, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, and 1/2 cup of raisins to the bowl. Mix well to combine.
  4. 4. Roll out a rich pie crust and line a pie plate with it. Pour the tomato mixture into the crust, spreading it evenly.
  5. 5. Roll out another piece of pie crust and place it on top of the filling. Slash the top crust to allow steam to escape and crimp the edges to seal.
  6. 6. Bake the pie in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 35-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  7. 7. Allow the pie to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy it warm or at room temperature.
