  • - Cofresh Whole Green Chilli 350g
  • 1 Kg Jersey Royal Potatoes
  • 250 G Jaimin Ratlami Sev 200g
  • 1 Kg Red Onion 1kg
  • 425G Goya Green Pigeon Peas, 425G
  • 100G Greenfields Brown Mustard Seeds, 100G
  • 100 G Saras Turmeric Haldi Powder
  • 1 L Ktc Sunflower Oil
  • 400 G Trs Coriander Powder
  • 750 G Top-Op Table Salt Drums
  • 100G Natco Fennel Seeds, 100G
  • 100G East End Garam Masala Powder
  • 300G Trs Minced Ginger & Garlic Paste 300G

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat sunflower oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add brown mustard seeds and let them splutter.
  2. 2. Add fennel seeds and sauté for a few seconds.
  3. 3. Add finely chopped red onions and fry until golden brown.
  4. 4. Stir in ginger garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.
  5. 5. Add finely chopped fresh green chilli and chopped tomatoes, and cook until tomatoes soften.
  6. 6. Mix in turmeric powder, hot smoked paprika, coriander powder, garam masala powder, and salt. Cook for 1-2 minutes until spices are aromatic.
  7. 7. Add diced potatoes and cooked pigeon peas to the tomato mixture.
  8. 8. Pour in enough water to cover the ingredients and let it simmer until potatoes are tender.
  9. 9. Stir in garam masala and adjust salt to taste. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
  10. 10. Serve the Usal hot, topped with crunchy Ratlami sev and garnish with fresh flat leaf parsley if desired.
