- 6 Each Golden Yolk Eggs 6 Pack
- 250G Picard - 6 Multigrain Bread Rolls
- 1 L Arla Lactofree Semi Skimmed Milk Drink
- - Schwartz Ground Nutmeg
- - Kosher Sea Salt Bwfo
Instructions
- 1. Cut 3-4 stale multigrain bread rolls into small cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- 2. Heat 300ml of vegetable broth in a saucepan until warm, then pour it over the bread cubes. Let it soak for 10 minutes.
- 3. Add caramelised onion houmous equivalent to 1 small onion to the soaked bread mixture.
- 4. Chop a handful of fresh parsley and add it to the bowl.
- 5. Crack 2 eggs into the mixture and season with 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg, and 1/4 teaspoon of ground white pepper.
- 6. Mix everything thoroughly until a sticky dough forms. If the mixture is too dry, add a splash of milk.
- 7. With wet hands, shape the mixture into 6-8 evenly sized dumplings.
- 8. Bring a large pot of salted water to a gentle simmer (not boiling).
- 9. Carefully add the dumplings to the water and let them cook for 15-20 minutes, turning them occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- 10. Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and let them drain briefly on a plate.
- 11. Serve warm with a side of mushroom sauce or melted organic salted butter.
