- 200G All Things Butter Unsalted Butter
- 2.27L / 4 Pints British Whole Milk 2.27L / 4 Pints
- 60G Terre Exotique Cheeselovers Pepper, 60G
- 100 G Fresh Green Peas 100g
- 200G Daylesford Smoked Trout
- 1.5 Kg Best In Plain Flour 1.5 Kg
- 100G Terre Exotique Winemaker'S Salt, 100G
Instructions
- 1. Melt 1/2 cup of butter in a Dutch oven or large saucepan over medium heat.
- 2. Add 1/2 cup of flour to the melted butter and stir continuously until the mixture is smooth and forms a roux, about 2 minutes.
- 3. Gradually pour in 4 cups of milk, stirring constantly to prevent lumps, and bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Continue stirring until the sauce thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
- 4. Once the sauce has thickened, add 1 cup of green peas and 1 can of drained smoked trout. Stir gently to combine and heat through for 3-5 minutes.
- 5. Season the mixture with 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of pepper, adjusting to taste.
