Ingredients

  • 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
  • - Edmal Red Cabbage
  • - Schwartz Whole Cloves
  • 500 Ml Cj Beksul Apple Vinegar 500ml
  • 1 Kg White Granulated Sugar
  • 750 G Top-Op Table Salt Drums
  • 250 Ml Ktc Jasmin Oil Cooking Oil 250Ml

Instructions

  1. 1. Begin by preparing the ingredients: peel and finely chop the Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store, and shred the Edmal Red Cabbage into thin strips.
  2. 2. Heat 2 tablespoons of Crisp N Dry Oil in a large pot or deep skillet over medium heat.
  3. 3. Add the chopped onions to the pot and sauté until they become soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
  4. 4. Stir in the shredded red cabbage and cook for another 5 minutes, allowing it to soften slightly.
  5. 5. Add 2 tablespoons of Cj Beksul Apple Vinegar 500ml to the pot, followed by 1 tablespoon of White Granulated Sugar. Mix well to combine.
  6. 6. Season the mixture with a pinch of Top-Op Table Salt Drums and add 3-4 Schwartz Whole Cloves for a warm, aromatic flavor.
  7. 7. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let the cabbage simmer for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Add a splash of water if the mixture becomes too dry.
  8. 8. Once the cabbage is tender and the flavors have melded together, remove the cloves and adjust seasoning with additional salt or vinegar if needed.
  9. 9. Serve the Rotkohl warm as a side dish or accompaniment to your favorite German-inspired meal.
