Ingredients
- 100G Cooked Chestnuts, 100G
- - Montezuma'S 100% Cocoa Dark Chocolate Bar
- 30 Ml Sprig Natural Bourbon Vanilla | 20 Ml Extract | Superior Quality | Chemical-Free | Alcohol-Free | For Gourmet Baking & Desserts
- - Kerrymaid UHT Whipping Cream
- 1 Jar Rowse Clear Honey
- - Natco Ground Cinnamon 100g
- NaN Tate & Lyle Icing Sugar
- 350G Saxa Fine Sea Salt 350G
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F). Using a sharp knife, make a small cross-cut on the flat side of each chestnut shell to prevent them from bursting during roasting.
- 2. Place the chestnuts on a baking tray and roast them in the oven for 25-30 minutes until the shells start to peel away and the chestnuts are golden and fragrant.
- 3. While the chestnuts roast, prepare the cinnamon cream. In a mixing bowl, combine double cream, icing sugar, cinnamon powder, and vanilla extract. Whisk until soft peaks form, then refrigerate until ready to serve.
- 4. Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pot of simmering water, stirring occasionally until smooth. Remove from heat and set aside.
- 5. Once the chestnuts are roasted, let them cool slightly and peel off the shells. Arrange the peeled chestnuts on a serving plate.
- 6. Drizzle the roasted chestnuts with honey, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt, and pour the melted dark chocolate over them. Serve alongside the chilled cinnamon cream for dipping or topping.
