- 500G Ghee, 500G
- 500G Natco Unrefined Jaggery, 500G
- 1 L Daylesford Organic Whole Milk Unhomogenised
- 200G East End Desiccated Coconut
- 450G Glutinous Rice Flour, 450G

Instructions
- 1. In a pan, add 1 tablespoon of ghee and heat over medium flame.
- 2. Add the grated coconut and jaggery slab to the pan, stirring continuously until the jaggery melts and mixes well with the coconut.
- 3. Sprinkle in cardamom powder and continue to stir for a few more minutes. Turn off the heat and let it cool.
- 4. While the filling cools, in a separate pot, bring 1 cup of whole milk to a boil.
- 5. Gradually add 1 cup of glutinous rice flour to the boiling milk, stirring swiftly to form a soft, non-sticky dough.
- 6. Cover the dough and let it rest for about 10 minutes.
- 7. Divide the dough into small balls, flatten each ball into a disc, and place a spoonful of the coconut-jaggery filling in the center.
- 8. Gather the edges of the disc to enclose the filling, and gently shape it into a modak using your fingers or a mold.
- 9. Steam the modaks for about 10-15 minutes until the dough is cooked through.
- 10. Serve warm, drizzled with a little ghee on top, if desired.
