Ingredients
- 6 Each Golden Yolk Eggs 6 Pack
- 1 L Crisp N Dry Oil
- 750 G Top-Op Table Salt Drums
- - Gorilla Food Co. Masa Harina White Corn Tortilla Flour
Instructions
- 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of Gorilla Food Co. Masa Harina White Corn Tortilla Flour with 1/2 teaspoon of Top-Op Table Salt Drums.
- 2. Gradually add 1 1/4 cups of warm water to the masa harina mixture, mixing with your hands until a soft, pliable dough forms. If the dough feels too dry, add a little more water, 1 tablespoon at a time.
- 3. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball. Flatten each ball into a thick disc about 3-4 inches in diameter.
- 4. Heat a dry skillet or griddle over medium heat. Cook each sope base for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until lightly browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and let cool slightly.
- 5. Once the sope bases are cool enough to handle, pinch the edges of each disc to create a shallow rim, forming a small bowl shape.
- 6. In a frying pan, heat 2-3 tablespoons of Crisp N Dry Oil over medium heat. Fry the sope bases for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until golden and crispy. Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- 7. While the sopes are frying, prepare any desired toppings. If using Golden Yolk Eggs, fry or scramble them as a topping option.
- 8. Assemble the sopes by adding your preferred toppings inside the rimmed base. Common toppings include beans, cheese, lettuce, salsa, and eggs.
- 9. Serve the sopes warm and enjoy!
