Ingredients
- 28G Maeda-En Matcha Green Tea Powder, 28G
- - Philadelphia Original Soft Cream Cheese 165g
- - Kerrymaid UHT Whipping Cream
- 6 Each Golden Yolk Eggs 6 Pack
- 30 Ml Sprig Natural Bourbon Vanilla | 20 Ml Extract | Superior Quality | Chemical-Free | Alcohol-Free | For Gourmet Baking & Desserts
- - Anchor Salted Butter 200g
- 120 G Blue Dragon Panko Breadcrumbs 120g
- 1 Kg White Granulated Sugar
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F) and prepare a 9-inch springform pan by greasing it lightly with Anchor Salted Butter. Optionally, line the bottom with parchment paper for easier removal.
- 2. In a food processor, crush the Blue Dragon Panko Breadcrumbs into finer crumbs. Melt 50g of Anchor Salted Butter and mix it with the breadcrumbs until evenly coated. Press this mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the crust. Place the pan in the refrigerator to set while preparing the filling.
- 3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the Philadelphia Original Soft Cream Cheese until smooth and creamy using an electric mixer. Gradually add the White Granulated Sugar and continue mixing until fully incorporated.
- 4. Add the Golden Yolk Eggs one at a time to the cream cheese mixture, beating well after each addition to ensure a smooth consistency.
- 5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the Kerrymaid UHT Whipping Cream, Sprig Natural Bourbon Vanilla Extract, and Maeda-En Matcha Green Tea Powder until the matcha is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth. Gradually fold this matcha mixture into the cream cheese batter until evenly combined.
- 6. Pour the cheesecake batter over the prepared crust in the springform pan. Smooth the top with a spatula to ensure an even surface.
- 7. Place the springform pan in a larger roasting pan and create a water bath by pouring hot water into the roasting pan until it reaches halfway up the sides of the springform pan. This helps prevent cracks in the cheesecake.
- 8. Bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center still has a slight jiggle. Turn off the oven and leave the cheesecake inside with the door slightly ajar for another 30 minutes to cool gradually.
- 9. Remove the cheesecake from the oven and water bath. Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to fully set.
- 10. Once chilled, carefully remove the cheesecake from the springform pan. Optionally, dust the top with a light sprinkle of Maeda-En Matcha Green Tea Powder for garnish before serving. Slice and enjoy your Matcha Cheesecake!
