Instructions
- 1. Heat a frypan over medium heat and brown 900 g of plant-based ground meat. Cook until browned and crumbly, then drain any excess oil.
- 2. Transfer the cooked plant-based ground meat to a crock-pot.
- 3. Add 1 cup of finely chopped onions, 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic, 2 teaspoons salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, 2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes, and 1 cup of sliced mushrooms to the crock-pot.
- 4. Stir the mixture thoroughly with a fork until all ingredients are well combined.
- 5. Add 1 can (400 g) of tomato sauce, 1 can (400 g) of tomato puree, 1 can (170 g) of tomato paste, and 1 large diced tomato to the crock-pot. Mix everything together until evenly blended.
- 6. Cover the crock-pot and cook on the low setting for 12 to 15 hours, or on the high setting for 4 to 7 hours. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
- 7. Once the sauce is thickened and flavors are well developed, taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot over your favorite pasta or use as a base for other dishes.
