Instructions

  1. 1. Heat a frypan over medium heat and brown 900 g of plant-based ground meat. Cook until browned and crumbly, then drain any excess oil.
  2. 2. Transfer the cooked plant-based ground meat to a crock-pot.
  3. 3. Add 1 cup of finely chopped onions, 1/4 teaspoon minced garlic, 2 teaspoons salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano, 2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes, and 1 cup of sliced mushrooms to the crock-pot.
  4. 4. Stir the mixture thoroughly with a fork until all ingredients are well combined.
  5. 5. Add 1 can (400 g) of tomato sauce, 1 can (400 g) of tomato puree, 1 can (170 g) of tomato paste, and 1 large diced tomato to the crock-pot. Mix everything together until evenly blended.
  6. 6. Cover the crock-pot and cook on the low setting for 12 to 15 hours, or on the high setting for 4 to 7 hours. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.
  7. 7. Once the sauce is thickened and flavors are well developed, taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot over your favorite pasta or use as a base for other dishes.
