Ingredients

  • - Oregano 100g
  • 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
  • - Cawston Press Pressed Tomato Juice
  • - De Cecco Spaghetti
  • - Schwartz Garlic Salt
  • - Tata Salt
  • - Silver Spoon Granulated Sugar
  • - Chilli Powder Rajah
  • 190G Sundried Tomato Paste, 190G

Instructions

  1. 1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook 2 tbsp of finely chopped onion until softened, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
  2. 2. Add 2 tbsp of finely chopped onion, 1 tsp garlic salt, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp oregano, 1 1/2 tsp chili powder, 6 oz sundried tomato paste, and 3 cups of pressed tomato juice to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
  3. 3. Cover the skillet and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  4. 4. Break 7 oz of spaghetti into halves or thirds and add them to the skillet. Stir to ensure the strands are evenly distributed and submerged in the sauce.
  5. 5. Cover the skillet again and simmer for an additional 30 minutes, or until the spaghetti is tender, stirring frequently to prevent clumping.
  6. 6. Once the spaghetti is fully cooked, give the dish a final stir and serve hot. Optionally, garnish with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
