Instructions
- 1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook 2 tbsp of finely chopped onion until softened, about 6-8 minutes. Drain any excess fat.
- 2. Add 2 tbsp of finely chopped onion, 1 tsp garlic salt, 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp sugar, 1 tsp oregano, 1 1/2 tsp chili powder, 6 oz sundried tomato paste, and 3 cups of pressed tomato juice to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
- 3. Cover the skillet and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- 4. Break 7 oz of spaghetti into halves or thirds and add them to the skillet. Stir to ensure the strands are evenly distributed and submerged in the sauce.
- 5. Cover the skillet again and simmer for an additional 30 minutes, or until the spaghetti is tender, stirring frequently to prevent clumping.
- 6. Once the spaghetti is fully cooked, give the dish a final stir and serve hot. Optionally, garnish with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
