- 1kg 1kg Green Pepper
- 130 g Essential Organic Italian Tomato Puree Double Concentrate 130G
- 190G Sundried Tomato Paste, 190G
- 30G Dried Sliced Shiitake Mushrooms, 30G
- 118G Poon'S Wo Sauce, 118G
Instructions
- 1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Sauté 3 diced onions, 4 minced garlic cloves, and 1/2 diced green pepper until softened, about 5 minutes.
- 2. In a separate pan, brown 1 1/2 lb of kosher ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- 3. Combine the sautéed vegetables and browned ground beef in a large pot or kettle.
- 4. Add 2 cups of tomato puree, 3 tablespoons of tomato paste, 2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce, and 1 cup of water to the pot. Stir well to combine.
- 5. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer uncovered for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
- 6. Allow the sauce to cool and refrigerate overnight to enhance the flavors.
- 7. Before serving, add 1 cup of sliced shiitake mushrooms and 1 cup of shredded cooked kosher chicken to the pot. Simmer for an additional 30 minutes over low heat.
- 8. Serve the sauce hot over your favorite pasta or spaghetti, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
