Ingredients

  • 1 Kg Yellow/White Onion 1kg
  • 280G Caprichos Del Paladar Roasted Chopped Tomatoes, 280G
  • - Forest Whole Foods Organic Wild Rice
  • - Chilli Powder Rajah
  • - Tata Salt

Instructions

  1. 1. Heat a large frying pan over medium heat and sauté 1 diced onion until softened, about 8-10 minutes.
  2. 2. Transfer the cooked onion to a crockpot. Add 1 can of diced tomatoes with their juice, 1/2 cup of uncooked wild rice, 1 tablespoon of chili powder, and salt and pepper to taste.
  3. 3. Pour in enough water to cover the ingredients (approximately 4 cups). Set the crockpot to high and cook for 1 hour.
  4. 4. Reduce the crockpot to low and continue cooking until the wild rice is tender and the grains have split and curled, about 4 hours.
  5. 5. Add 4 cups of frozen corn to the crockpot and stir. Continue cooking on low until the corn is heated through, about 30 minutes.
  6. 6. Serve the chili hot and enjoy a comforting, protein-packed meal.
