Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2. In a large bowl, combine the minced beef, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
- 3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a small loaf, approximately 10 cm long and 5 cm wide.
- 4. Place the meatloaves on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.
- 5. While the meatloaves are baking, prepare the marinara sauce. Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 6. Add the canned chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, dried basil, sugar, salt, and black pepper to the saucepan. Stir well and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
- 7. Remove the meatloaves from the oven after 20 minutes and spoon a generous amount of marinara sauce over each loaf. Return them to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- 8. Once done, remove the meatloaves from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes. Serve warm with the remaining marinara sauce on the side, along with a fresh green salad or crusty Italian bread.
