- 200G Picard - Breaded Shrimp
- 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
- 100 G Jumbo Garlic 100g
- 50G Picard Chopped Flat Parsley
- 1.5 Kg Bacheldre Organic Stoneground Unbleached Strong White Flour, 1.5Kg
- - Ktc Vegetable Oil
- - Tata Salt
Instructions
- 1. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pot over medium heat. Gradually whisk in 2 cooking spoons of flour to create a dark roux, stirring constantly to avoid burning.
- 2. Add 2 finely chopped onions and 2 minced garlic cloves to the roux. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the onions are softened and fragrant.
- 3. Stir in 1 tablespoon of parsley and 1 pound of peeled shrimp. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the shrimp just start to turn pink.
- 4. Pour in 4 cups of water and season with 1 teaspoon of salt. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
- 5. Serve the shrimp stew hot over cooked rice, garnished with additional parsley if desired.
