Instructions

  1. 1. In a large pan, brown 500 g of halal ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess grease.
  2. 2. Add 1 cup of chopped celery and 1/4 cup of diced onion to the pan. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.
  3. 3. Stir in 4 cups of water, 1 tsp of minced garlic, 1 can (400 g) of diced tomatoes, and your preferred seasoning such as salt, pepper, and paprika.
  4. 4. Add 1 cup of fusilli and 1/2 cup of uncooked rice to the pan. Stir well to combine.
  5. 5. Mix in 1 cup of green beans. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the fusilli and rice are tender.
  6. 6. Taste the soup and adjust the seasoning as needed. Add more water if the soup becomes too thick.
  7. 7. Once everything is cooked and well combined, remove from heat and serve hot with cornbread or biscuits on the side.
