Ingredients
- 500G Shazans Lamb Mince
- 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
- 1 stick Organic Celery Stick
- 100 G Jumbo Garlic 100g
- 190G Sundried Tomato Paste, 190G
- - Cawston Press Pressed Tomato Juice
- 700G Heinz Tomato Ketchup 700g
- 60G Terre Exotique Black Sao Tome Pepper, 60G
- 50G Natoora Fresh Italian Flat Leaf Parsley
- - Ktc Vegetable Oil
- - Tata Salt
- 1 Kg Tate & Lyle Granulated Sugar
- - Schwartz Italian Seasoning
Instructions
- 1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- 2. Add 500 g of halal ground meat to the skillet and cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks.
- 3. Finely chop 1 onion, 2 stalks of celery, and 3 cloves of garlic. Add them to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.
- 4. Stir in 3 tablespoons of tomato paste, 500 ml of tomato juice, 2 tablespoons of ketchup, 1 teaspoon of salt, 1/2 teaspoon of pepper, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon of italian seasoning. Mix well.
- 5. Add 3 cups of water to the skillet, bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer uncovered for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
- 6. Chop a handful of fresh parsley and stir it into the sauce just before serving. Serve hot over spaghetti or your favorite pasta.
