Ingredients

- 800G Essential Cuisine Beef Stock Mix, 800G
- 200G All Things Butter Unsalted Butter
- 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
- - Organic Dried Rosemary Hatton Hill Organic
- 50G Pepper Black Ground BWFO
- 1 L Crisp N Dry Oil
- 1.5 Kg Best In Plain Flour 1.5 Kg
- 50G Top-Op Nutmeg Powder 50g
- - Tata Salt
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F. Heat 3 tablespoons of unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
- 2. Add 1 finely chopped onion to the skillet. Cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 10 minutes.
- 3. Add 500 g of halal ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until well browned, about 10 to 12 minutes.
- 4. Drain any excess fat from the skillet. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of flour over the beef and onion. Stir well and cook for 2 minutes.
- 5. Pour in 1/4 cup of beef stock and add 1 teaspoon of dried rosemary and a pinch of nutmeg. Stir and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until the mixture thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- 6. Transfer the beef mixture to a 9-inch square baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- 7. Spoon a mixture of flour and water over the beef mixture, spreading it evenly. Use a fork to create a textured surface on the mixture.
- 8. Dot the top of the mixture with 1 tablespoon of butter, cut into small pieces.
- 9. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbling.
- 10. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
