Instructions

  1. 1. Begin by preparing the batter. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of Heera Maida Flour with a pinch of Top-Op Table Salt. Gradually add 3/4 cup of water while whisking to create a smooth, lump-free batter.
  2. 2. Crack 2 Golden Yolk Eggs into the batter and whisk until fully incorporated. Set the batter aside to rest for 10 minutes.
  3. 3. While the batter rests, prepare the vegetables. Thinly slice the Spring Onions and cut the Courgettes (Zucchini) into thin matchsticks. Set them aside.
  4. 4. Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and add 2 tablespoons of Crisp N Dry Oil. Once the oil is hot, add the Whitby Seafoods Garlic & Herb Prawns and cook for 2-3 minutes until they are lightly golden and heated through. Remove the prawns from the pan and set aside.
  5. 5. In the same pan, add another tablespoon of Crisp N Dry Oil. Spread half of the prepared batter evenly across the pan to form a thin pancake base.
  6. 6. Arrange the sliced Spring Onions, Courgettes, and cooked Garlic & Herb Prawns evenly over the batter. Drizzle a small amount of batter over the toppings to help them stick.
  7. 7. Cook the pancake for 3-4 minutes on one side, or until the edges are crispy and the bottom is golden brown. Carefully flip the pancake using a spatula and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side.
  8. 8. While the pancake cooks, prepare the dipping sauce. In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of Amoy Dark Soy Sauce with a pinch of Top-Op Table Salt. Adjust the seasoning to taste.
  9. 9. Once the pancake is cooked, transfer it to a serving plate. Repeat the process with the remaining batter and ingredients to make additional pancakes.
  10. 10. Serve the Haemul Pajeon hot with the prepared dipping sauce on the side. Enjoy your delicious Korean seafood pancake!
