Instructions
- 1. In a saucepan, combine 1/2 cup soy sauce, 1/2 cup pineapple juice, 1/4 cup vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 2 teaspoons ground ginger, 1 teaspoon dry mustard, and 1/4 teaspoon green pepper. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- 2. Remove the marinade from heat and allow it to cool completely.
- 3. Cut 500 g seitan into 1-inch cubes and place them in a shallow dish. Pour the cooled marinade over the seitan, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to marinate.
- 4. While the seitan marinates, prepare the vegetables by cutting 1 green pepper, 1 onion, and 200 g mushrooms into skewer-friendly pieces. Halve 200 g cherry tomatoes.
- 5. Once marinated, thread the seitan cubes onto skewers, alternating with the prepared vegetables and cherry tomatoes.
- 6. Preheat a grill to medium-high heat. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with the remaining marinade, until the seitan is heated through and the vegetables are slightly charred.
- 7. Remove the skewers from the grill and serve hot as a delicious dinner option.
