Ingredients
- 125G Daylesford Organic Brandy Butter
- 250G Shallot Onion - 250g
- 500 Ml Daylesford Organic Hot & Sour Vegetable Broth
- - Silver Spoon Granulated Sugar
- 200 Ml Minus 8 Vinegar Dehydr8, 200Ml
- 1 Bunch Spring Onions 1 Bunch
Instructions
- 1. Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the pearl onions and boil for 15 to 20 seconds to loosen their skins. Drain and rinse under cold water.
- 2. Trim a small piece from both ends of each onion and peel off the outer skin. Cut a small 'X' into the root end of each onion to prevent them from separating during cooking.
- 3. In a small pan, combine 1 tablespoon of butter, the peeled pearl onions, 1 cup of water, and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
- 4. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook uncovered for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the liquid has evaporated and the onions are tender.
- 5. Stir in 1 tablespoon of vinegar, the chopped green onions, and the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter. Mix well to coat the onions evenly.
- 6. Remove from heat and let the dish cool slightly. Serve at room temperature as a flavorful side dish.
