Ingredients
- 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
- 50G Pepper Black Ground BWFO
- 500G Trs Chick Peas
- 250 G Veenas Fresh Garlic
- - Fresh Asian Coriander Bunch
- 227G Arm & Hammer Baking Soda, 227G
- - Mccormick Cumin Powder
- 1 L Crisp N Dry Oil
- 400 G Trs Coriander Powder
Instructions
- 1. Rinse and soak the chickpeas in water overnight or for at least 8 hours. Drain and set aside.
- 2. In a food processor, combine the soaked chickpeas, fresh parsley, fresh coriander, chopped onion, and peeled garlic. Blend until the mixture is coarse but holds together when pressed.
- 3. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, and ground black pepper to the mixture. Blend again until the spices are evenly distributed.
- 4. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and refrigerate for 1-2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and the mixture to firm up.
- 5. Heat cooking oil in a deep pan or fryer to 180°C (350°F).
- 6. Remove the mixture from the refrigerator and shape it into small balls or patties using your hands.
- 7. Fry the falafel balls or patties in the hot oil until golden brown and crispy, approximately 3-5 minutes per batch. Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- 8. Serve the falafel warm with your choice of accompaniments, such as pita bread, hummus, or salad.
