  • - Cofresh Whole Green Chilli 350g
  • 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
  • 100 G Jumbo Garlic 100g
  • ( Natoora Large Spanish Garlic
  • 750 G Top-Op Table Salt Drums

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash the Cofresh Whole Green Chilli thoroughly and slice them into thin strips. Set aside.
  2. 2. Peel and finely chop the Fresh Onion from the Ofoodi African Store and the Jumbo Garlic. Set aside.
  3. 3. Grate the Cathedral City Mature Cheddar Cheese and set it aside.
  4. 4. Heat a pan over medium heat and add a small amount of water to the pan to create a light broth. (Note: Oil is not used in traditional Ema Datshi.)
  5. 5. Add the chopped onions and garlic to the pan. Sauté in the broth until the onions become translucent and the garlic is fragrant.
  6. 6. Add the sliced green chilies to the pan and stir well. Cook for 2-3 minutes to soften the chilies slightly.
  7. 7. Gradually add the grated Cathedral City Mature Cheddar Cheese to the pan, stirring continuously until the cheese melts and combines with the broth to form a creamy sauce.
  8. 8. Season the dish with Top-Op Table Salt to taste.
  9. 9. Allow the dish to simmer for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring all ingredients are well combined and the flavors meld together.
  10. 10. Serve the Ema Datshi hot, optionally with rice or bread on the side.
