Ingredients

  • 100G Premium Loose Pu Erh Tea, 100G
  • 165 Ml Tropical Sun Coconut Milk Mini
  • - Whole Foods Market Organic Cardamom Powder
  • 1G Saffron 1g
  • 1 Kg Tate & Lyle Fairtrade Light Soft Brown Sugar

Instructions

  1. 1. Gather all the ingredients: 2 cups of water, 1 cup of coconut milk, 1 tablespoon of loose Pu Erh tea, 2-3 strands of saffron, 2 tablespoons of light soft brown sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon of cardamom powder.
  2. 2. In a small bowl, soak the saffron strands in 1 tablespoon of warm water for about 10 minutes to release their flavor and color.
  3. 3. In a medium-sized saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  4. 4. Once the water is boiling, add the loose Pu Erh tea and let it steep for 2-3 minutes, depending on how strong you prefer your tea.
  5. 5. Reduce the heat to low and add the coconut milk to the saucepan, stirring gently to combine.
  6. 6. Add the light soft brown sugar and cardamom powder to the tea mixture, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  7. 7. Pour the soaked saffron along with the water into the saucepan, stirring well to incorporate the saffron flavor and color evenly.
  8. 8. Allow the tea to simmer on low heat for another 2-3 minutes, ensuring it doesn't boil over.
  9. 9. Turn off the heat and strain the tea into a teapot or directly into serving cups using a fine mesh strainer to remove the tea leaves and any large particles.
  10. 10. Serve the Dubai Style Zafrani Tea hot, garnished with a few extra strands of saffron on top if desired.
