Ingredients
- 200G Mergulo Original Plant-Based Butter
- 6 X 1 L Candia Just Milk Semi Skimmed
- 1.5 kg Green Fine Beans 1X1.5Kg
- 250G Holland & Barrett Nutritional Yeast Flakes
- 15 Kg Caputo Red Strong Flour, 15Kg
- - Chilli Powder Rajah
Instructions
- 1. Cook the green beans in boiling water for about 15 minutes until tender. Add salt if desired, then drain and set aside.
- 2. In a pan, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Gradually add 4 tablespoons of flour, stirring constantly to form a smooth roux.
- 3. Slowly pour in 1 cup of milk, whisking continuously to avoid lumps. Cook until the mixture thickens into a smooth sauce.
- 4. Add 1 tablespoon of nutritional yeast and 1 tablespoon of chili powder to the sauce, stirring well to combine.
- 5. Stir in 1 cup of grated cheese and 1 can of cream of mushroom soup. Cook until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is creamy.
- 6. Add the cooked green beans to the sauce and mix well to coat them evenly. Heat for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- 7. Serve the cheesy green bean dish warm as a comforting dinner option.
