Ingredients
- 100 G East End Ground Coriander
- 100 G Jumbo Garlic 100g
- 400G Hodmedod'S Tinned Organic Whole Fava Beans, 400G
- 250 Ml Trs Lemon Juice 250Ml
- - Mccormick Cumin Powder
- 100G Trs Paprika 100G
Instructions
- 1. Drain and rinse the Hodmedod's Tinned Organic Whole Fava Beans (400g) thoroughly under cold water to remove any excess brine.
- 2. In a medium saucepan, bring water to a boil and blanch the Fine Beans (500g) for 2-3 minutes until tender but still crisp. Drain and set aside for garnish or optional use.
- 3. Peel and finely chop the Jumbo Garlic (100g).
- 4. Heat 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil – Organic in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but not browned.
- 5. Add the rinsed fava beans to the skillet and stir to combine with the garlic.
- 6. Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon of Mccormick Cumin Powder, 1 teaspoon of East End Ground Coriander, and 1/2 teaspoon of Schwartz Paprika. Stir well to coat the beans with the spices.
- 7. Add 1/2 teaspoon of Top-Op Table Salt Drums and 1/4 cup of water to the skillet. Simmer the mixture for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beans are soft and the flavors are well combined.
- 8. Remove the skillet from heat and transfer the mixture to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth, adding a drizzle of Olive Oil – Organic if needed to achieve the desired consistency.
- 9. Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt or spices, if necessary.
- 10. Serve the Bessara dip warm or at room temperature, garnished with the blanched Fine Beans (optional) and a drizzle of Olive Oil – Organic. Pair with crusty bread, pita, or vegetable sticks for dipping.
