Ingredients

  • 1.75 Kg Packington Free Range Medium Whole Chicken
  • 1 L Itsu Sesame Chicken Broth For Noodles For 4
  • - Luscombe Organic Sicilian Orange Juice
  • - Silver Spoon Granulated Sugar
  • - Tata Salt
  • - Schwartz Garlic Powder 480g
  • 100G Natco Paprika Powder 100g

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. 2. Place 1.2 kg chicken pieces on a baking sheet and season both sides with 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp garlic powder, and 1 tsp paprika.
  3. 3. Bake the chicken for 25 minutes or until fully cooked. Transfer the chicken to a large shallow casserole dish and set aside.
  4. 4. In a medium saucepan, combine 120 ml chicken bouillon, 60 ml orange juice, 2 tbsp soy sauce, and 1/2 tsp sugar.
  5. 5. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  6. 6. Add 2 tbsp water to the saucepan and cook the mixture until it thickens, stirring continuously.
  7. 7. Stir in 2 tbsp julienned fresh orange rind into the sauce.
  8. 8. Pour the prepared sauce evenly over the baked chicken in the casserole dish. Cover the dish with foil.
  9. 9. Bake the chicken in the preheated oven for an additional 30 minutes. Serve hot.
