Ingredients

  • 500g Smoked Back Bacon Rashers
  • NaN Fresh Halal Chicken Leg Meat Skinless & Boneless
  • 150G Dairylea 8 Cheese Slices
  • - Anchor Salted Butter 200g
  • - Natco Black Pepper Whole
  • 120 G Blue Dragon Panko Breadcrumbs 120g
  • 1.5 Kg Best In Plain Flour 1.5 Kg

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (392°F) and grease a baking dish lightly with butter.
  2. 2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. 3. While the pasta is cooking, heat a frying pan over medium heat. Add the bacon rashers and cook until crispy. Remove from the pan, chop into small pieces, and set aside.
  4. 4. In the same frying pan, cook chicken breast steaks with garlic butter over medium heat until fully cooked (internal temperature of 75°C or 165°F). Remove from the pan, slice into bite-sized pieces, and set aside.
  5. 5. In a medium saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Once melted, whisk in 2 tablespoons of plain flour to form a roux. Cook the roux for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  6. 6. Gradually add 2 cups of milk to the roux, whisking continuously to avoid lumps. Cook the mixture until it thickens into a smooth sauce.
  7. 7. Grate cheese and stir it into the sauce until fully melted and creamy. Season the sauce with a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste.
  8. 8. Combine the cooked pasta, bacon pieces, and chicken slices in a large mixing bowl. Pour the cheese sauce over the mixture and stir until everything is evenly coated.
  9. 9. Transfer the pasta mixture to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle breadcrumbs evenly over the top for a crispy topping.
  10. 10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the dish is bubbling.
  11. 11. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your Bacon Mac and Cheese!
