- 500G Aunt Bessie'S Maple & Thyme Glazed Carrots
- 1 Kg Carrots - 1kg
- 1Pc White Cabbage 1pc
- 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
- 1kg 1kg Green Pepper
- Each Pepper Red- Each
- 25 g Celery Seed 25G
- 100G Terre Exotique Winemaker'S Salt, 100G
- 200 Ml Minus 8 Vinegar Dehydr8, 200Ml
- - Silver Spoon Granulated Sugar
- 1 Kg Coarse Sea Salt, 1Kg
Instructions
- 1. Finely chop 1 medium head of cabbage, 8 medium carrots, 1 large onion, 1 sweet green pepper, and 1 sweet red pepper.
- 2. Place the chopped vegetables in a large bowl and sprinkle with 2 tablespoons of salt. Mix well and let it sit for 2 hours to draw out excess moisture.
- 3. After 2 hours, drain any liquid from the vegetables and return them to the bowl.
- 4. In a separate small bowl, mix 1 cup of vinegar, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of celery seed until the sugar dissolves.
- 5. Pour the vinegar mixture over the vegetables and toss thoroughly to combine.
- 6. Transfer the slaw to a clean jar or airtight container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
- 7. Serve chilled as a light dinner or side dish. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to a week.
