Ingredients
- 2 Kg Natco Red Lentils (Masoor Dal) 2 Kg
- 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
- 200G Carr'S Crackers Selection
- 2.27L / 4 Pints British Whole Milk 2.27L / 4 Pints
- - Tata Salt
- - Ktc Vegetable Oil
- NaN Organic Golden Flaxseed Flour
Instructions
- 1. Rinse 1 cup of red lentils thoroughly and cook them in boiling water until soft, about 15 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly.
- 2. Finely chop 1 onion and crush 10 crackers into crumbs. Combine the cooked lentils, onion, and cracker crumbs in a mixing bowl.
- 3. Add 1/4 cup of flaxseed flour mixed with 1/2 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of milk, and 1 teaspoon of salt to the mixture. Stir until well combined.
- 4. Heat 1/2 cup of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Scoop spoonfuls of the lentil mixture into the hot oil, flattening each with a spatula.
- 5. Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crisp. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 6. Serve the patties warm with your favorite dipping sauce or a side salad.
