- 1kg 1kg Green Pepper
- 125G Daylesford Organic Brandy Butter
- 560G Yorkshire Provender Rustic Vegetable Broth With Lentils Kale & Quinoa
- 700G Navarrico Lentejas - Brown Lentils, 700G
- 60G Terre Exotique Cheeselovers Pepper, 60G
- 500G White Pearl Italian Pudding Rice 500g
- 2.5 Kg Casa Marrazzo Organic Chopped Tomatoes, 2.5Kg
Instructions
- 1. In a large saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add 2 chopped onions, 4 diced carrots, and 1 diced green pepper. Saute for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are softened.
- 2. Add 10 oz of vegetable broth and 2 cups of water to the saucepan. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 3. Stir in 1 cup of lentils and 1/4 teaspoon of pepper. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 25 minutes.
- 4. Add 1/2 cup of rice to the saucepan and stir well. Cover again and simmer for an additional 20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is mostly absorbed.
- 5. Stir in 28 oz of chopped tomatoes and cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the liquid to be fully absorbed.
- 6. Remove from heat and let the pilaf rest for a few minutes before serving. Adjust seasoning if needed and serve warm.
