- - Jalpur Curry Powder
- 200G All Things Butter Unsalted Butter
- 1 Kg Fresh Onion Pack. 1kg - Ofoodi African Store
- 500G White Pearl Italian Pudding Rice 500g
- 60G Terre Exotique Cheeselovers Pepper, 60G
- 500 Ml Daylesford Organic Hot & Sour Vegetable Broth
Instructions
- 1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- 2. Melt 1/4 cup butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- 3. Add 1 chopped onion and 1 1/2 cups rice to the skillet; cook and stir until the rice turns yellow and the onion becomes tender, about 5 minutes.
- 4. Stir in 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon allspice, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric, 1/4 teaspoon curry powder, and 1/8 teaspoon pepper.
- 5. Transfer the rice mixture to an ungreased 2-quart casserole dish.
- 6. Heat 3 1/2 cups vegetable broth to boiling and pour it over the rice mixture in the casserole dish.
- 7. Cover the casserole tightly with a lid or aluminum foil and bake for 30 to 40 minutes, or until the liquid is absorbed and the rice is tender.
- 8. Remove from the oven, fluff the rice with a fork, and serve warm.
