- 400G Trs Canned White Beans 400G
- 250G Tilda Wholegrain Basmati Rice 250g
- 100 g Yorkshire English Carrots 100G
- 1 Piece Cucumber 1Pc
- - Biona Capers In Olive Oil
- 100 G Jumbo Garlic 100g
- 75G Greenfields Hot Wings Seasoning, 75G
- 750 G Top-Op Table Salt Drums
- 100G Heera Black Pepper Powder 100g
- 250 Ml Trs Lemon Juice 250Ml
- - Schwartz Flat Leaf Parsley
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the basmati rice thoroughly under cold water and set aside to drain.
- 2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat, then sauté minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- 3. Add basmati rice to the pan and toast lightly for 2 minutes, stirring to coat in garlic and oil.
- 4. Pour in 300ml water, add salt, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 12 minutes.
- 5. While rice cooks, peel and dice fresh carrots and cucumber into small cubes.
- 6. In a separate pan, heat 5ml olive oil and sauté carrots for 5 minutes until tender but slightly crisp.
- 7. Add drained white beans to the sauté pan along with Schwartz Italian Seasoning and black pepper. Stir well and cook for 3 minutes.
- 8. Once rice is cooked, fluff with a fork and mix in chopped parsley and lemon juice for added freshness.
- 9. Assemble the rice bowl by layering herbed rice as the base, followed by the white beans and sautéed carrots.
- 10. Garnish the bowl with diced cucumber for crunch and extra parsley for color.
