- - Kikkoman Soy Sauce
- 187 Ml Pure Maple Syrup, 187Ml
- 160 Ml Cj Bibigo Sesame Oil
- 120 Ml Lee Kee Seasoned Rice Vinegar 120ml
- - Ginger - 100g
- 50G Black Garlic Cloves, 50G
- 500G Biona Organic Long Grain Italian White Rice
- 200G Biona Organic Edamame Beans
- 1 Bunch Spring Onions 1 Bunch
- 400G Whole Chickpeas In Water
Instructions
- 1. Press the tofu to remove excess water, then cut it into bite-sized cubes.
- 2. Mix soy sauce, maple syrup, sesame oil, rice vinegar, grated ginger, and minced garlic to create the teriyaki marinade.
- 3. Coat the tofu cubes in the marinade and let them sit for 15 minutes to absorb the flavors.
- 4. Cook the rice according to package instructions until fluffy and set aside.
- 5. Steam the edamame beans for 5-7 minutes until tender, then sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
- 6. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add the marinated tofu cubes, reserving the leftover marinade.
- 7. Sear the tofu for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and slightly crispy.
- 8. Add the reserved marinade to the pan and sprinkle in the cornstarch, stirring until the sauce thickens and coats the tofu.
- 9. Serve the tofu over a bed of rice, arranging steamed edamame on the side.
- 10. Garnish with chopped scallions and toasted sesame seeds for added flavor and texture.
