Frequently asked questions
- How long do Tandoori Chicken Skewers with Spiced Rice take?
- About 30 minutes: 15 minutes of prep and 15 minutes of cooking. The chicken marinates while you prepare the cucumber and carrot side.
- Can I cook Tandoori Chicken Skewers in the oven?
- Yes, bake them on a rack in a hot oven, turning halfway. A quick blast under the grill adds a charred finish.
- How long should I marinate tandoori chicken?
- At least 15 minutes, but a few hours in the fridge gives a deeper flavour. Add yoghurt to the marinade for more tender chicken.
- Should I soak bamboo skewers before cooking?
- Yes, soaking them in water stops them burning in the air fryer or grill. Leave a small gap between pieces so the heat reaches all sides.
- What do you serve with tandoori chicken skewers?
- Serve them with the chilled cucumber and carrot sticks, spiced rice and a cooling yoghurt dip. Warm naan also goes well.
