- 450 G English Cucumber 450-550g
- 1 Kg Trade Aid Caster Sugar 1kg
- 5 Kg Marnoto Hand Harvest Coarse Sea Salt, 5Kg
- 40G Terre Exotique "Extra" Turmeric Powder, 40G
- 1 Kg White Granulated Sugar
Instructions
- 1. In a large pot, combine 3 3/4 cups white vinegar, 6 cups sugar, 3 tablespoons salt, and 4 1/2 teaspoons turmeric. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- 2. Wash and cut 1 kg cucumbers into sticks, ensuring uniform sizes for even pickling.
- 3. Arrange the cucumber sticks in a large bowl and pour the boiling vinegar solution over them to cover completely.
- 4. Let the cucumber sticks stand overnight at room temperature to absorb the flavors.
- 5. The next morning, pack the cucumber sticks tightly into sterilized jars, leaving some space at the top.
- 6. Pour the remaining vinegar solution into the jars, ensuring the cucumber sticks are fully submerged.
- 7. Seal the jars tightly and process them in a hot water bath for 5 minutes to ensure proper preservation.
